Introduction

Norifem 15mg Tablet CR is a man-made version of the natural female sex hormone progesterone. It is used to treat various menstrual problems including painful, heavy, or irregular periods, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), and a condition called endometriosis. It helps in regulating the growth and shedding of the womb lining thereby treating menstrual irregularities.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Norifem 15mg Tablet CR may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Norifem 15mg Tablet CR is a synthetic progestin. It works by mimicking the effects of natural progesterone (female hormone). It helps in regulating the growth and shedding of the womb lining thereby treating menstrual irregularities.

Regulates menstrual cycles and treats a wide range of menstrual disorders such as heavy, painful periods and endometriosis. It may cause bleeding or spotting in between menstrual periods. Let your doctor know if this occurs frequently. Stop taking Norifem 15mg Tablet CR and inform your doctor immediately if you get severe headaches, stabbing pains or swelling in one leg, pain while breathing, yellowing of your skin or sudden changes in your vision or hearing. Do not take Norifem 15mg Tablet CR if you are pregnant. Use a non-hormonal method of contraception such as condoms to prevent pregnancy while you are taking this medication as it is not a contraceptive.
