Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension is a combination of three medicines: Ofloxacin, Metronidazole, and Lactic acid bacillus. It is used to treat various types of bacterial infections. It works by killing the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections. This way it provides relief from the symptoms and speeds up the healing process. Take the medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it at the same time each day to get the maximum benefit from it. Do not consume more than the recommended dose as this may have harmful effects on your body. A missed dose should be taken as soon as you remember. Do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better unless you have completed the full course. If you stop too early, the infection may return.

Ofloxacin works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them. Metronidazole kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic. It works by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections. Together, they eradicate your infection effectively.

Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension is given to treat various bacterial infections. Stick to simple meals avoid rich or spicy food and drink plenty of water while taking this medicine. Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking Norfagyl Plus Oral Suspension. It can reduce the effectiveness of the oral typhoid vaccine. If you are due to have any vaccinations, make sure the person treating you knows that you are taking this antibiotic.
