Nocid 40mg Tablet is a histamine H2 receptor antagonist that works by reducing the acid produced in the stomach, relieving acid-related indigestion and heartburn. It is commonly prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers and heartburn caused due to the use of painkillers. The medicine must be taken in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. This medicine should relieve indigestion and heartburn within a few hours. If the symptoms persist or get worse even after 14 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor immediately.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Nocid 40mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Nocid 40mg Tablet.
Nocid 40mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Nocid 40mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Nocid 40mg Tablet is a well-tolerated and safe medicine with a very low incidence of side effects. Take it with or without food. Avoid taking soft drinks and citrus fruits like orange and lemon, which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Nocid 40mg Tablet for 2 weeks as you may be suffering from some other problems. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney disease as dose of your medicine may need to be adjusted.
Nocid 40mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. It is recommended to take it once daily before bedtime or twice daily in the morning and before bedtime.
Nocid 40mg Tablet starts working within 15 minutes from when it is taken. Its effect can last all day or night, as recommended by your doctor.
Nocid 40mg Tablet and Omeprazole belong to different groups of medicines. While Nocid 40mg Tablet belongs to histamine H2 antagonists, Omeprazole belongs to proton pump inhibitors. Both work by reducing stomach acid to relieve symptoms and promote healing.
Serious but rare side effects of Nocid 40mg Tablet may include hives, skin rash, itching, hoarseness, difficulty breathing or swallowing. Additionally, swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs is a serious symptom that should be reported to your doctor.
Avoid using aspirin and other painkillers for arthritis, period pain, or headaches as they may irritate the stomach. Also, limit coffee, tea, cocoa, and cola drinks which can exacerbate stomach issues. Eat smaller meals, chew food slowly, and stop smoking to alleviate symptoms.
