Eye Drop
Nircip Eye Drop is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the eye. It relieves the symptoms of the infection by stopping the further growth of the causative microorganisms. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
Nircip Eye Drop is an antibiotic that treats bacterial eye infections by preventing the bacteria from dividing and repairing. It does so by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment with Nircip Eye Drop even if you feel better. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the medication. Do not touch the tip to any surface or to your eye to avoid contamination. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Nircip Eye Drop may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines. Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up. Make sure to use Nircip Eye Drop within 4 weeks of opening the medication.
Nircip Eye Drop should not be used for more than 7 days unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. Prolonged use may lead to bacterial resistance, making the medicine less effective.
You can use other eye drops if prescribed by your doctor. Maintain a 10-15 minute interval between medication doses.
Nircip Eye Drop is an antibiotic and is used to treat bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis.
Most eye infections might show improvement within 2 days. However, it's advisable to use the medicine as prescribed by your doctor and do not stop without consulting them.
Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your eyesight, severe eye pain, recent eye injury, or a history of conjunctivitis. Also, mention if you have dry eyes or glaucoma.
Always wash your hands before (and after) using Nircip Eye Drop. This helps prevent the spread of infection from one eye to another. Remove the cap just before applying medication and replace it as soon as you finish. Avoid touching the nozzle with your fingers. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid with a clean finger and apply a single drop into the space between your lower lid and your eye. Close your eye and gently press your finger over the inner corner of your eye (over the eyelid) for 1 minute. This prevents the drop from draining out.
If you wear contact lenses, do not use them while applying Nircip Eye Drop. You can reinsert your lens after 15 minutes of using the medication. Contact your doctor if there is any eye irritation that persists.
Stinging, burning sensation, itching, and irritation are some side effects of this medicine. However, these usually subside after some time. If you experience prolonged or worsening symptoms, consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it's almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double up on the medication to make up for missing doses. It is best to consult your doctor or healthcare provider about this.
If a few extra drops accidentally fall into your eye, try to stay calm and inform your doctor if you notice any side effects.
You don't need to refrigerate Nircip Eye Drop after opening. However, store it in a cool, dry place below 30℃ and use it within 4 weeks of opening.
After using Nircip Eye Drop, close your eyes for at least 2-3 minutes to allow the medicine to settle in your eye.
