Frequently asked questions
What is Nimcob 1500mcg Injection?
Nimcob 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12, an essential nutrient that plays a role in making red blood cells and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It's also important for releasing energy from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can’t I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
Vitamin B12 is typically found in meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Vegetarians or vegans may not obtain adequate vitamin B12 as it's not naturally present in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, vitamin B12 deficiency is frequently observed in individuals who follow vegetarian or vegan diets.
What happens if I have a vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an abnormal increase in red blood cells). This may also cause nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms include difficulties with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, impaired memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Is Nimcob 1500mcg Injection safe?
Nimcob 1500mcg Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, in rare cases, side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or a rash may occur. Discontinue use of the medicine immediately if you experience a rash.
