Nidaston Tablet is used to relieve the symptoms of endometriosis (a problem caused by the growth of the womb lining outside the womb) and treat infertility due to low progesterone levels. It also relieves painful periods, controls irregular periods (those that come at the wrong time or not at all), and resolves the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Additionally, it restarts periods that have stopped before menopause (amenorrhea) and helps to stop or prevent unusually heavy or long periods (often due to the start of menopause).
There is a possibility of increased risk for hypospadias, a birth defect involving the urinary opening. This may occur in children whose mothers have taken certain progestogens. However, this risk is not yet definitively determined. Currently, there's no evidence that taking Nidaston Tablet during pregnancy is harmful. Please discuss with your doctor the risks and benefits of using Nidaston Tablet during pregnancy.
