Nexoworm Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine used to treat roundworm and tapeworm infections in children.
Oral Suspension
Nexoworm Oral Suspension is an anti-worm medicine given to treat a multitude of parasitic worm infestations such as roundworm and tapeworm infections in children. It works by paralyzing and restraining the worms from absorbing the body's energy, leading to their eventual death.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child.
Nexoworm Oral Suspension is a mixture of two medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die, thereby treating your child's infection effectively.
Do not share your child's medicines with others and do not give anyone else's medicine to your child. Worm infections are easily spread between family members. Your doctor may recommend treatment for all family members on the same day, whether or not they have any symptoms of infection. Some self-care tips: Do not give raw or undercooked food to your child. Always give a balanced diet containing herbs, fruits, and spices of therapeutic value. Encourage your child to wash their hands with soap and water every time they use the toilet as that will help prevent cross-infection. Trim your child's nails frequently to disable any source of worm infection. Maintain a neat space and hygiene around your child. Call your child's doctor right away if the child exhibits signs of allergic reaction like rash, itching, or any other sign of infection such as fever, gum-bleeding, black or red stools, and blood in urine or vomit.
Signs and symptoms of intestinal worm infection may include an itchy bottom (rectal area), difficulty sitting, fatigue, restless sleep due to anal itching, and persistent stomach pain with loss of appetite or frequent indigestion. Additionally, a child may exhibit pica, eating inedible substances such as mud. Consult a doctor if you notice any of these symptoms in your child.
Nexoworm Oral Suspension can be given at any time of day, but it should be taken with a fat-containing food such as milk to enhance absorption.
Children may contract intestinal worms through exposure to contaminated soil, water, or vegetables and fruits that have not been properly washed or peeled. In areas with poor sanitation, the risk of infection is higher due to the presence of worm eggs in the environment.
Store Nexoworm Oral Suspension at room temperature in a cool, dry place where children and pets cannot access it. Do not freeze the medicine.
Contact your child's doctor immediately if they experience vision problems, puffy eyes, severe itching all over the body, trouble walking or standing, trouble breathing, fast heart rate, disorientation, loss of bowel control, or neck pain after taking Nexoworm Oral Suspension.
