Neurovit 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12, a vital nutrient essential for the production of red blood cells and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also plays a crucial role in releasing energy from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Vitamin B12 can be obtained from animal-based food sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may be at risk of deficiency, as vitamin B12 is not naturally found in plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause a range of symptoms, including fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition characterized by abnormally large red blood cells). It may also lead to nerve problems, such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, as well as cognitive issues like problems with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
