Neurokia 1500 Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that the body requires to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also helps release energy from food, along with vitamin B11 (folate).
You can obtain Vitamin B12 from sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, those following a vegetarian or vegan diet may experience a deficiency since it is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, vitamin B12 deficiency is more common among vegetarians or vegans.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an enlarged red blood cell condition). Additionally, it may cause nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other possible symptoms include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Neurokia 1500 Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash may occur. Discontinue using this medication immediately if a rash develops.
Neurokia 1500 Injection can be administered intravenously (directly into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dose is 0.5 mg of Neurokia 1500 Injection, which is given three times a week. After two months, an additional 0.5 mg dose is provided every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
