Frequently asked questions
What is Nervz B 12 Injection?
Nervz B 12 Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that helps the body make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system, as well as release energy from food and use vitamin B11 (folate).
Why can't I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
Vitamin B12 is typically found in animal products such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Vegetarians or vegans may not get enough vitamin B12 as it is not naturally present in plant-based foods. This can lead to deficiency if these individuals don't consume adequate sources of vitamin B12.
What happens if I have a vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an abnormal red blood cell condition). It may also lead to nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms include difficulty with balance, depression, confusion, memory impairment, mouth or tongue soreness.
Is Nervz B 12 Injection safe?
Nervz B 12 Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, it may cause rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash. Discontinue use of this medicine immediately if a rash develops.
How should Nervz B 12 Injection be administered?
Nervz B 12 Injection can be given intravenously (directly into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dose is 0.5 mg and it is given 3 times a week. After two months, 0.5mg of Nervz B 12 Injection should be administered every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
What precautions need to be taken when administering Nervz B 12 Injection?
Don't inject the medication at the same site each time. If you experience intense pain while injecting or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and try injecting again at a different spot.
