Vitamin B12 is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation, and protein and tissue synthesis. It also helps to treat anemia, fatigue, and numbness or tingling in the hands and feet.

What is Nervup Injection?
Nervup Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient needed by the body to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also helps release energy from food, and it's required for using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can’t I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You can obtain vitamin B12 through foods like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. People who follow vegetarian or vegan diets may not get enough vitamin B12 because it's not found naturally in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, deficiency of vitamin B12 is commonly observed in vegetarians and vegans.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (which is a condition where red blood cells become larger than normal). It may also cause nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency include balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, memory issues, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Is Nervup Injection safe?
Nervup Injection is generally well tolerated and considered safe. However, in rare cases, side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia (loss of appetite), and rash can occur. Discontinue using this medication if you develop a rash.
How should Nervup Injection be given?
Nervup Injection can be given intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Nervup Injection), and it's given 3 times per week. After two months, a dose of 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Nervup Injection) is given every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
What precautions need to be taken while administering Nervup Injection?
Avoid injecting the medication at the same site each time. If you experience intense pain during injection or blood returns into the syringe, withdraw the needle and re-inject at a different location.
