Nervomax 2500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Nervomax 2500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays an important role in red blood cell production, nerve function, and energy metabolism. It also helps utilize folate (vitamin B9).
You may not consume enough vitamin B12 from your diet if you don't consume animal products. While plant-based foods like fruits and vegetables do not naturally contain Vitamin B12, it is essential to include meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products in your diet for optimal vitamin B12 intake.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an increased size of red blood cells). You may also experience neurological symptoms such as numbness or tingling in your hands and feet. Additionally, vitamin B12 deficiency can cause balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, memory problems, mouth sores, and tongue soreness.
Nervomax 2500mcg Injection is generally well tolerated. However, rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash have been reported and should be addressed immediately if they occur.
Nervomax 2500mcg Injection can be administered via intravenous (IV) injection or intramuscular (IM) injection. The usual dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Nervomax 2500mcg Injection) and is given three times per week. After two months, 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Nervomax 2500mcg Injection) should be administered every one to three months as part of long-term maintenance therapy.
Avoid injecting the same site repeatedly. If you experience intense pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-inject at a different site.
