How it works
Nervlex Capsule is a combination of five medicines: Benfotiamine, Folic Acid, Methylcobalamin, Pregabalin, and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). Benfotiamine and Folic Acid provide essential nutrients to the nerves. Methylcobalamin and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) are forms of vitamin B which help in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Pregabalin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
Quick Tips
Do not drive or use tools or machines. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other pain-relieving medicines. Along with taking Nervlex Capsule, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from pain. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Nervlex Capsule is a combination of five medicines: Pregabalin, Methylcobalamin, Folic acid, Benfotiamine, and vitamin B6. This medication is used to treat nerve pain (neuropathic pain). It works by acting on the brain to calm damaged or overactive nerves, reducing the pain sensation. Nervlex Capsule also helps regenerate damaged nerves in the body.
Can I stop taking Nervlex Capsule when my pain is relieved?
No, you should not stop taking Nervlex Capsule even if your pain is relieved. Continue to take it as directed by your doctor. If you stop taking Nervlex Capsule suddenly, you may experience withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, sleeping difficulties, nausea, pain, and sweating. Gradually tapering off the use of Nervlex Capsule before stopping completely is recommended.
How to manage weight gain associated with the use of Nervlex Capsule?
Nervlex Capsule can make you feel hungry, leading to increased food intake and a higher risk of weight gain. However, preventing weight gain is easier than losing existing weight. Maintain a healthy balanced diet without increasing portion sizes. Avoid calorie-dense foods like soft drinks, oily meals, chips, cakes, biscuits, and sweets. If you experience hunger between meals, opt for fruits, vegetables, and low-calorie snacks. Regular exercise can also help prevent weight gain.
Can the use of Nervlex Capsule cause sleepiness or drowsiness?
Yes, Nervlex Capsule may cause drowsiness or you might suddenly fall asleep during everyday activities. Sometimes, you might not even feel drowsy before falling asleep. Avoid driving, operating machinery, working at heights, or engaging in potentially dangerous activities until you understand how the medicine affects you. Inform your doctor if you experience such episodes.
Are there any serious side effects associated with the use of Nervlex Capsule?
Serious side effects are rare with Nervlex Capsule. However, they can include allergic reactions, suicidal thoughts, or limb swelling (hands, legs, or feet). Stop taking Nervlex Capsule and consult your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms. Signs of an allergic reaction include swelling in your face, mouth, lips, gums, tongue, and neck; difficulty breathing; skin rash; hives; and blisters. Pay attention to sudden changes in mood, behavior, thoughts, or feelings. These could be signs of suicidal thoughts.
How long will Nervlex Capsule take to act?
An initial benefit from Nervlex Capsule may be seen within two weeks of treatment. However, it can take up to 2-3 months to see the full benefits. It might even take longer for some patients.
What if I forget to take Nervlex Capsule?
If you miss a dose of Nervlex Capsule and it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next one at the scheduled time. Otherwise, take it as soon as you remember. Don't double dose to make up for the missed dose as this may increase the risk of side effects.
Will a higher than the recommended dose of Nervlex Capsule be more effective?
No, taking a higher dose than the recommended dosage will not necessarily enhance effectiveness. In fact, it could increase the chances of serious side effects and toxicity. If you experience increased severity of your symptoms that are not relieved by the recommended doses, consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
