Nervisun 1000mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Nervisun 1000mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is essential for the body to produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also helps release energy from food and works with vitamin B11 (folate).
You can get vitamin B12 from animal-based sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Vegans or vegetarians who do not consume these foods may have a Vitamin B12 deficiency. It is important for them to include supplements or fortified foods in their diet.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (abnormally large red blood cells). It can also lead to nerve problems such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms may include problems with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Nervisun 1000mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects may occur like nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite (anorexia), and rash. If a rash occurs, discontinue the medication.
Nervisun 1000mcg Injection can be administered intravenously or intramuscularly. The usual dose is one ampoule (0.5 mg of Nervisun 1000mcg Injection) and it is given three times a week. After two months, a single ampoule (0.5 mg of Nervisun 1000mcg Injection) is given every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
