Frequently asked questions
What is Nerviros 1500mcg Injection?
Nerviros 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that the body requires to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can’t I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You can obtain vitamin B12 from sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, people who are vegetarian or vegan may experience deficiency in Vitamin B12 because it is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, or grains. Therefore, those following a vegetarian or vegan diet might be at risk for developing vitamin B12 deficiency.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to symptoms such as fatigue and weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become larger than normal). It may also cause nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Additionally, other potential effects include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, memory impairment, mouth sores, and tongue soreness.
Is Nerviros 1500mcg Injection safe?
Generally, Nerviros 1500mcg Injection is well-tolerated and considered safe. However, in some individuals, rare side effects may occur such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash. If a rash appears, discontinue use of this medication immediately.

The usual dose is 0.5mg of Nerviros 1500mcg Injection and it is typically given three times a week. After two months, the dosage changes to 0.5mg of Nerviros 1500mcg Injection every one to three months as part of ongoing maintenance therapy.
