Neocob 1000mcg Injection contains vitamin B12, which is an essential nutrient required for the body to produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Vitamin B12 is mainly found in animal-based products like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. People who are vegetarian or vegan may not consume enough vitamin B12 from their diets as it's not naturally present in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, vitamin B12 deficiency can occur more frequently in these groups.
Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to symptoms like fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition with abnormally large red blood cells). It can also cause nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other signs include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Neocob 1000mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia (loss of appetite), or a rash may occur. Discontinue using this medication if you experience any skin rashes.
Neocob 1000mcg Injection can be injected either into a vein (intravenously) or a muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dosage is 1 ampoule of 0.5 mg of Neocob 1000mcg Injection, and it's given 3 times a week. After two months, one ampoule of 0.5 mg of Neocob 1000mcg Injection is administered every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
Avoid injecting the medication at the same site repeatedly. If you experience severe pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert it at a different location.
