How it works
Neocin 350mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works in liver disease by killing the ammonia-producing bacteria. The liver normally breaks down ammonia but in liver disease this function may be impaired allowing it to enter the brain. Neocin 350mg Tablet prevents this by affecting bacteria's production of certain proteins that are necessary for their survival. This ultimately kills the bacteria and treats the infection.

Neocin 350mg Tablet is used to sterilise the bowel before surgery. It may also be used to prevent impairment of brain function in severe liver disease. Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney function and your hearing while you are taking this medicine.
