Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that is given to children to effectively treat a wide range of bacterial infections that may occur in the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal infections, urinary and genital tract.
Give Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension to your child as directed by your doctor. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension is an antibiotic consisting of ofloxacin and ornidazole as its active ingredients. Both these ingredients tamper the bacteria's DNA. Thus, it kills the infection-causing bacteria, stopping the infection and the bacteria from growing further without making them resistant to further treatment.
Diarrhea is a common side effect of Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case it develops. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help if your child has an altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension on tongue) after taking Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Quit giving Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension and speak to the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Neobid-OZ Oral Suspension as it may irritate your stomach and also cause excessive drowsiness. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
