Nasavit Plus 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays a vital role in red blood cell formation and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also helps release energy from food, utilizing folate (vitamin B9) as well.
Vitamin B12 is commonly found in meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Vegans or vegetarians might lack vitamin B12 naturally as it's not present in fruits, vegetables, or grains. This is why deficiency in Vitamin B12 is often observed in these groups.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (larger than normal red blood cells). It may also cause nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other possible symptoms include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, memory impairment, and mouth or tongue soreness.
Nasavit Plus 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, some rare side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash may occur. If a rash develops, discontinue the use of this medication immediately.
