Naif 1000mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required by the body to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Vitamin B12 is typically found in meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, individuals following a vegetarian or vegan diet may not obtain adequate vitamin B12 as it is not naturally present in foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. As such, deficiency of vitamin B12 is commonly seen in vegetarians or vegans.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become abnormally large). It may also cause nerve problems like numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other potential symptoms include difficulties with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, mouth or tongue soreness.
