Frequently asked questions
What is N Cobal OD 1500mcg Injection?
N Cobal OD 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that the body needs to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It is also crucial for releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can't I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You can obtain vitamin B12 from sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, vegetarians or vegans may not get enough vitamin B12 because it is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, a lack of vitamin B12 is commonly observed in those following vegetarian or vegan diets.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become larger than normal). It may also cause nerve problems such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency include balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and mouth or tongue soreness.
