Mypar Liquid is a widely prescribed medicine that helps to ease pain and bring down high body temperature (fever). In children, it treats conditions like headache, toothache, body ache, fever, and common cold.
Give Mypar Liquid to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects. Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted. If Mypar Liquid does not seem to be helping your child, contact your doctor for advice. Do not give extra doses.
Mypar Liquid possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.

Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and frequency for administering this medicine. The specific dosage will depend on the strength of the medication and your child’s age. Refer to the product label or leaflet inside the packaging for detailed guidance before use. The commonly recommended dose is 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4 to 6 hours. If you're unsure about the correct dosage, consult your child’s doctor.
Mypar Liquid typically starts working within 30 to 60 minutes of administration and reaches its peak effect within 3 to 4 hours. You may notice your child’s symptoms improving after a few doses. However, if pain or fever persists for longer periods, consult your child's doctor immediately.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Mypar Liquid, repeat the dose. If it has been more than 30 minutes and your child still vomits, there's no need to repeat the dose. Wait until it’s time for the next scheduled dose. If you are unsure, consult your doctor.
You can administer this medicine if your child has a body temperature of 38.3°C (101°F) or higher. However, it’s always best to consult your child's doctor first to confirm the appropriateness of treatment.
If the fever doesn't come down after the initial doses, it could be an infection (virus or bacteria). It is advisable to consult your child's doctor for further treatment.
You should only take four doses of Mypar Liquid within 24 hours. Ensure there’s at least a 4-6 hour gap between each dose. Never exceed three days of treatment without consulting your doctor. More than 250 mg/kg can lead to toxicity and potentially be fatal. An overdose can cause serious damage to the liver and kidneys. Notify your doctor immediately if you suspect overdosage, even if your child appears well, as delayed liver damage may occur.
Unless instructed by your doctor, continue your child's normal balanced diet while taking Mypar Liquid. Inadequate nutrition can negatively impact your child's overall health and increase the risk of medication toxicity.
It is advised to use Mypar Liquid with caution in children with malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or any known medicinal allergies. Make sure to disclose your child’s complete medical history to the doctor for informed decision-making regarding the safety of this medication.
Keep this medicine at room temperature in a dry place, out of reach of children and pets.
It’s not recommended to administer Mypar Liquid along with vaccines that cause fever. Studies suggest that administering both may diminish the effectiveness of the vaccine.
