Mylone Tablet is a combination of three medicines used to treat diarrhea dysentery. It works by killing the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause the infection and help relieve the symptoms. It also disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas. Mylone Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take the medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not consume more than the recommended dose as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The treatment must be completed even if you feel better.

How it works
Mylone Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Metronidazole, Diloxanide and Dimethicone. Metronidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging their DNA. Diloxanide is a luminal amoebicide which acts inside the intestines to kill the infection-causing microorganisms (amoeba). It is added in case of severe intestinal infections. Dimethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Mylone Tablet should be taken with or without food but at the same time every day. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not drink alcohol during or for 2-3 days after treatment with this medicine. You may develop nausea, vomiting, flushing, and headache. It is advisable to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water to overcome medicine side effects. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease. Your dose may need to be adjusted in severe liver disease.
