Mycotero S 360mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant. Mycotero S 360mg Tablet helps your body accept the donor kidney. It works on cells in your immune system to suppress its activity, which fights with any foreign substances and rejects their presence. This helps make the transplanted organ more acceptable to your body.
Mycotero S 360mg Tablet may increase your risk of certain cancers like skin cancer and lymphoma (cancer of the lymph system). When outside, avoid unnecessary or prolonged sun exposure. Use protective clothing, apply sunscreen, and consider contacting a doctor if you notice a new skin sore, a change in the size or color of a mole, a brown or black skin lesion with uneven edges, a sore that one part does not look like the other, skin changes, sores that do not heal, unexplained fever, tiredness that persists, weight loss, or pain or swelling in the neck, groin, or armpits.
Mycotero S 360mg Tablet is neither a steroid nor a chemotherapy medication. It's an immunosuppressant that weakens your immune system to prevent your body from rejecting the donated organ from another person. Hair loss is a common side effect of Mycotero S 360mg Tablet.
Since Mycotero S 360mg Tablet can affect blood count and the kidneys and liver, your doctor will order a blood test before starting treatment. Regular blood tests should be taken once the treatment begins to check for any changes in the blood. These blood tests help monitor your response to the medicine and the development of side effects.
Mycotero S 360mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant, which means it weakens your immune system. Since your immune system is already weakened, if you come in contact with a patient of chicken pox or shingles, you may get infected too. This is the reason your doctor has advised you to be cautious. Follow your doctor's advice and contact your doctor immediately if you get chickenpox or shingles as they might require special treatment.
Do not take Mycotero S 360mg Tablet if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. There is a high risk of miscarriage during the first 3 months of pregnancy, and it may even cause birth defects in the baby. Therefore, use two forms of reliable contraception together for 4 weeks before starting treatment, during the treatment, and for 6 weeks after stopping Mycotero S 360mg Tablet. Your doctor will suggest the best two contraceptive methods for you.
It is recommended that either the man or his partner should use reliable contraception during treatment and for 90 days after treatment. Men should not donate semen during therapy or for 90 days following discontinuation of Mycotero S 360mg Tablet.
