Muret 2% Cream is an antibiotic medicine used to treat certain skin infections such as impetigo (red sores), recurring boils, and others.

Muret 2% Cream is meant for external use only. It should be applied only to the affected area of the skin as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. In order to get the most benefit, apply it regularly and preferably at the same time each day. Do not use larger amounts or apply it more often or for a longer duration than directed. This will only increase the risk of side effects. Do not use it for more than 10 days. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the medicine in these areas. Local side effects like minor burning or irritation may be seen after application. Consult your doctor if these persist or if your condition does not improve within 3-5 days. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy with it or any other medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using it.

Muret 2% Cream is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria that cause skin infections by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins necessary for survival of bacteria. Thus, it prevents the skin infection from spreading.
Muret 2% Cream is used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the medicine at least 3 times a day. A dressing can be applied over the treated area if needed. Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas. It can cause slight irritation at the application site. Let your doctor know if the irritation does not go away. Do not use for more than 10 days. Throw away any cream that is left over. If your skin condition does not improve within 3 to 5 days, see your doctor.
Muret 2% Cream is an antibacterial medication. It will only be helpful if the diaper rash is caused by bacterial infection.
If your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine, inform your doctor. If you do not feel better after finishing the full course of treatment, consult your doctor.
Use Muret 2% Cream for the duration advised by your doctor. The bacteria are normally cleared from your skin within 10 days of starting treatment. Do not use it for more than 10 days. If your skin condition does not improve within 3-5 days, see your doctor.

Burning sensation is a common side effect of applying Muret 2% Cream. However, stinging is uncommon. It does not last long and will disappear after sometime. Do not stop using Muret 2% Cream because of these mild side effects. If you have any concerns consult your doctor.
Muret 2% Cream should not be used to treat infections in or near the eyes, nostrils or mouth. If this medicine accidentally enters your eyes, wash the eyes thoroughly with water. In case you have tubes inserted in your body for the delivery of fluids or medicines (cannula), do not use this medicine to treat the skin near that area.
Wash off the ointment immediately if you get raised and itchy rash, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing or difficulty breathing, fainting, and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat or other parts of the body. These may be signs of severe allergic reaction. You should immediately stop using Muret 2% Cream and consult your doctor. Though unlikely, but if you get abdominal cramps and diarrhea, you should stop Muret 2% Cream immediately and consult your doctor.
