Introduction

Mumcal is a nutritional supplement used to treat hyperphosphatemia (too much phosphate in the blood) in patients with end-stage kidney disease who are on dialysis. It is also used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who do not get enough calcium from their diets. Mumcal is important for growth and development of bones, and is used in elderly people to keep bones healthy and strong, and is even effective in Chronic arthritis and Osteoporosis.

Calcium acetate works by binding with the phosphate in the food you eat, so that it is eliminated from the body without being absorbed. Vitamin D3 helps in the absorption of calcium in the blood, and Zinc and Magnesium are necessary for bone mineralization and bone matrix formation.
