Frequently asked questions
What is Multineuron 1500mcg Injection?
Multineuron 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays an essential role in red blood cell formation and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also contributes to energy release from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why might I not get enough vitamin B12 through my diet?
Vitamin B12 can be obtained from animal sources like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, individuals following vegetarian or vegan diets may lack sufficient vitamin B12 naturally found in fruits, vegetables, and grains. As a result, vegetarians or vegans are prone to developing vitamin B12 deficiency.
What happens if I develop a vitamin B12 deficiency?
A deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an excessive production of red blood cells). It may also cause neurological problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms include balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, memory impairment, soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Is Multineuron 1500mcg Injection safe?
Multineuron 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, some individuals may experience rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or a rash. Discontinue using the medication immediately if you notice any rash.
