Multineuron 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Multineuron 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 plays an essential role in red blood cell formation and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also contributes to energy release from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Vitamin B12 can be obtained from animal sources like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, individuals following vegetarian or vegan diets may lack sufficient vitamin B12 naturally found in fruits, vegetables, and grains. As a result, vegetarians or vegans are prone to developing vitamin B12 deficiency.
A deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an excessive production of red blood cells). It may also cause neurological problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms include balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, memory impairment, soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Multineuron 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, some individuals may experience rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or a rash. Discontinue using the medication immediately if you notice any rash.
Multineuron 1500mcg Injection can be injected directly into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly). A typical dosage is 0.5mg of Multineuron 1500mcg Injection, given three times a week for initial treatment, followed by maintenance therapy with 0.5mg once every one to three months after two months.
Avoid injecting the medication in the same location repeatedly. If pain or blood flow back into the syringe occurs, remove the needle and re-insert it at a different site.
