Mucomelt LS Syrup contains three active medicines. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of the mucus and helps in its removal from the airways. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes and widens the muscles in the airways.
Mucomelt LS Syrup may make your child feel sleepy. Advise your child to be cautious when taking part in physical activities. Do not share your child’s medicines with other children, even if they show similar symptoms. Stop Mucomelt LS Syrup and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties. Clean and disinfect surfaces after sneezing and coughing to avoid allergies. Give your child plenty of fluids as it helps to thin and loosen the mucus accumulated in the lungs.

Taking an overdose of Mucomelt LS Syrup can lead to serious side effects like seizures and rapid heart rate. Ensure your child takes the medicine as directed by their doctor, at the prescribed dose, time, and manner.
Do not administer multiple cough or cold medications to your child without consulting their doctor first. This is especially important in cases of confusion or for severe symptoms.
Never give children medicines intended for adults; instead, use medications specifically formulated for children and strictly follow the prescribed dosage instructions.
Mucomelt LS Syrup should be stored at room temperature in a dry place away from direct heat and light. It's also crucial to keep all medicines out of children's reach to avoid accidental intake.
