Mucoglad 1gm Injection is an antidote medication used in the treatment of paracetamol overdose. It protects the liver and helps reduce injury extent.
Injection
Mucoglad 1gm Injection is administered under the supervision of a doctor, ideally within 8 hours of a paracetamol overdose. It can still be effective up to 24 hours post-overdose, though its efficacy diminishes over time. The most common side effects include rash, urticaria, flushing, and itching. Inform your doctor if you have asthma or are taking other medications, as these may affect the drug's efficacy. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Your doctor or nurse will administer this medicine. Do not self-administer.

Consuming alcohol with Mucoglad 1gm Injection does not cause any harmful side effects.
Mucoglad 1gm Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Mucoglad 1gm Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Mucoglad 1gm Injection increases the level of glutathione, an antioxidant that neutralizes the toxic products of paracetamol.
Used for the treatment of paracetamol overdose. Protects the liver from damage by high levels of paracetamol. Most effective when given within the first 8 hours following overdose.
