Introduction

Mr. PEG consists of Polyethylene glycol (PEG), a polyether compound also known as polyethylene oxide (PEO) or polyoxyethylene (POE), depending on its molecular weight. It belongs to a class of medications called osmotic laxatives. The structure of PEG is commonly expressed as H− (O−CH2−CH2) n −OH. Mr. PEG is indicated for the treatment of constipation.

Use two measuring spoonfuls of Mr. PEG (17 g) daily. Add this to a glass of water (120-240 ml), stir briskly, and consume the contents immediately. Or as advised by your healthcare practitioner.

Mr. PEG works as an osmotic laxative, increasing the amount of water in the intestine and softening the stool, making it easier to pass.
