How it works
Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.

Frequently asked questions
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup? Does this drug interact with other medications?
Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. It's essential to inform your child's doctor about all other medications they are taking before starting Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup. Also, consult with a healthcare professional before administering any medicine to your child.
Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup? Does this interfere with the vaccines?
Antibiotics typically don't interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in children who have recently been vaccinated. However, it's important to wait until your child recovers from the illness before administering any medicine. As soon as they feel better, the vaccine can be given.
Which lab tests may my child undergo while taking Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup on a long-term basis? Are there necessary follow-up procedures?
With prolonged therapy, the doctor might periodically monitor kidney and liver function tests to assess your child's condition.
Can I give a higher than the recommended dose of Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup to my child? What are the risks of overdosing?
No, giving a higher than the recommended dose of this medicine can increase the risks of side effects. If your child experiences an increase in symptoms, consult with your doctor for re-evaluation.
Can I stop giving Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup to my child when the symptoms are relieved? What is the proper course of treatment?
No, do not discontinue this medicine without completing the full course as prescribed. The medication may still be providing beneficial effects even if symptoms subside before the infection is completely cured. Continue the prescribed dosage until the doctor advises otherwise.
Can Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup cause diarrhea? What are the possible side effects?
Yes, Moxyroot CV Dry Syrup can potentially cause diarrhea. This medicine works by killing harmful bacteria. In addition, it may affect your child's good gut bacteria and lead to diarrhea. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids if they experience diarrhea. However, do not administer any medication without consulting a doctor. If diarrhea persists or you notice signs of dehydration (less frequent urination, dark-colored and strong-smelling urine), seek advice from a healthcare professional.
Do all viral common colds result in secondary bacterial infection? Is antibiotic treatment necessary in every case?
Most common cold viruses do not naturally lead to secondary bacterial infections. Antibiotics should only be used after consulting with your child's doctor if a clear secondary bacterial infection is diagnosed.
The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is this a sign of a bacterial infection?
Yellow or green nasal discharge doesn't always indicate a bacterial infection. It's common during a typical cold for mucus to thicken and change color, typically lasting for 7-10 days. If your child shows any other alarming signs like difficulty breathing, high fever, extreme fatigue, vomiting, or severe pain, consult with their doctor immediately.
What are some symptoms that may require immediate medical attention in my child?
You must contact your child's doctor if they experience serious allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, skin rashes), gastrointestinal problems (diarrhea), or signs of liver damage (weakness, paleness, vomiting). Although rare, these symptoms require immediate medical attention.
