How it works
Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.

Frequently asked questions
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla?
It's important to inform your child's doctor about any other medications your child is taking before starting Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla. This will help ensure they don't have any dangerous interactions.
Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla?
Antibiotics are generally not a problem when it comes to vaccines. However, children should wait until recovering from the illness before receiving their vaccine, and they can do so after your child feels better. If your child has recovered, a doctor can advise on vaccination.
Which lab tests may my child undergo while taking Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla on a long-term basis?
If the treatment is continued for a prolonged period, your doctor might perform regular checks to monitor kidney and liver function in your child. This helps ensure their health.
Can I give a higher than the recommended dose of Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla to my child?
Giving a higher dosage of this medication may increase the risk of side effects. If your child experiences worsening symptoms, please consult your doctor for reevaluation.
Can I stop giving Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla to my child when the symptoms are relieved?
No, do not discontinue this medication until the full course of treatment is completed. Even if you see improvement in your child's condition, it's crucial to finish the full course as the medicine may continue to be beneficial.
Can the use of Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla cause diarrhea?
Yes, Moxletic-CV 457 Oral Suspension Vanilla can cause diarrhea. It's a medication that kills harmful bacteria and may also affect good bacteria in your child's stomach, leading to diarrhea. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids if they experience it. If the diarrhea persists, talk to your doctor about dehydration signs like infrequent urination with dark-colored, strong-smelling urine, and avoid giving any medication without a doctor’s advice.
Do all viral common colds result in secondary bacterial infection?
Most of the time, bacterial infections do not follow viral infections. Giving antibiotics in viral infections can increase your child's risk of developing side effects. It's crucial to consult with your child's doctor before using any medication.
The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
Yellow or green mucus in the nose doesn't necessarily mean you need antibiotics. During a common cold, nasal discharge can thicken and change color, but often lasts for 7-10 days.
Is there any sign which shows that my child needs immediate medical attention?
Call your child's doctor immediately if they experience severe allergic reactions (breathing problems, skin rashes), gastrointestinal infections (diarrhea), or liver damage (weakness, paleness, vomiting). Even though these side effects are rare, it's essential to seek immediate expert care.
