Moxivo CV Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.

Most antibiotics do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines, and they are typically safe for use in children who have recently received vaccinations. However, it is crucial to consult with a doctor before administering any medication to your child to ensure their safety. Once your child recovers from the illness, the vaccine can be administered.
The doctor may periodically monitor kidney and liver function tests to assess your child's overall health as part of the treatment process.
Giving a higher dosage than recommended for this medication can increase the risk of side effects. If your child experiences worsening symptoms, consult with their doctor immediately.

If diarrhea persists or shows signs of dehydration (e.g., decreased urination with dark-colored and strong-smelling urine), consult with a healthcare professional for further guidance before administering any other medications.
