How it works
Moxfit CV Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It has two active agents amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria. This makes the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid an effective line of treatment for many types of infections.

Frequently asked questions
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Moxfit CV Dry Syrup?
Moxfit CV Dry Syrup may interact with other medications or substances. It is crucial to inform your child's doctor about all medications they are currently taking before starting Moxfit CV Dry Syrup. Also, consult your child's doctor before administering any medicine to your child.
Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Moxfit CV Dry Syrup?
In general, antibiotics do not interfere with vaccines or cause adverse reactions in children who have recently received them. However, for optimal safety, it is recommended to hold vaccinations until the child has recovered from their infection. Once your child feels better, you can schedule the vaccine based on your doctor's advice.
Which lab tests may my child undergo while taking Moxfit CV Dry Syrup on a long-term basis?
For prolonged treatment, periodic assessment of kidney and liver function is recommended to monitor your child's condition effectively.
Can I give a higher than the recommended dose of Moxfit CV Dry Syrup to my child?
No, exceeding the recommended dosage of this medication can lead to increased side effects. If your child experiences an intensification in symptoms, consult with their doctor for re-evaluation.
Can I stop giving Moxfit CV Dry Syrup to my child when the symptoms are relieved?
No, do not discontinue this medication prematurely unless you have completed the full course of treatment. Symptoms may improve before the infection is fully cured. Therefore, continue taking the medicine according to the prescribed schedule.
Can the use of Moxfit CV Dry Syrup cause diarrhea?
Yes, Moxfit CV Dry Syrup might lead to diarrhea as it is an antibiotic that targets harmful bacteria. This medication can also disrupt the balance of helpful bacteria in your child's stomach, which may further contribute to diarrhea. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water or fluids if experiencing this side effect. If diarrhea persists and you notice any signs of dehydration (reduced urination with dark-colored and strong-smelling urine), consult your doctor before administering any other medication.
Do all viral common colds result in secondary bacterial infection?
Most viral colds do not necessitate secondary bacterial infection. Antibiotics should be used only after consulting with your child's doctor for the specific situation and if there is a clear indication of a bacterial infection.
The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
Yellow or green mucus in the nose does not necessarily indicate a bacterial infection. During a common cold, mucus tends to thicken and change color from clear to yellow or green. Symptoms usually last for 7-10 days.
Is there any sign which shows that my child needs immediate medical attention?
If your child experiences severe allergic reactions (breathing difficulties, skin rashes), gastrointestinal complications (diarrhea), or liver damage (weakness, paleness, vomiting) urgently contact their doctor. Though rare, these side effects require expert intervention.
