How it works
Movex Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation.

Frequently asked questions
What is Movex Tablet?
Movex Tablet contains diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. These medications work together to relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system to relax muscles. Diclofenac and paracetamol reduce prostaglandins, chemical substances that cause pain and inflammation in the body.
Is Movex Tablet safe for use?
Movex Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, it can cause common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, drowsiness, and other rare or less common side effects. If you experience persistent problems while using Movex Tablet, notify your doctor immediately.
Can I stop taking Movex Tablet when my pain is relieved?
If your doctor has prescribed a specific duration for using Movex Tablet, continue to take it. If you are only using it for short-term pain relief, your doctor may recommend discontinuing the medication.
Can the use of Movex Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, Movex Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting in some patients. Taking it with milk, food, or antacids can help. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids in small frequent sips. Consult your doctor if you experience persistent vomiting or dehydration symptoms (dark urine color and odor, low urination frequency). Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.
Can the use of Movex Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, Movex Tablet can cause dizziness in some patients. Feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded is a sign of this potential side effect. It is best to rest until you feel better.
Can the use of Movex Tablet cause kidney damage?
Long-term use of Movex Tablet can lead to kidney damage. This occurs because normal kidneys produce prostaglandins which protect them from damage. Painkillers lower levels of these prostaglandins, leading to kidney damage over time. Patients with pre-existing kidney disease should avoid using this medication.
Can I take a higher than the recommended dose of Movex Tablet?
No, taking more than the recommended dose of Movex Tablet increases the risk of side effects. If you experience increased pain or if your pain is not relieved by the recommended doses, consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Movex Tablet?
Store Movex Tablet in its original container tightly closed. Follow the instructions on the packaging label and refer to them if needed. Do not use or give it to pets, children, or other people.
