Tablet
Introduction
Montizek-Kid Tablet is commonly prescribed in children to treat symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It may also help in the treatment of asthma and skin allergies.
Directions for Use
Montizek-Kid Tablet should be used as directed by your child's doctor. It is important to follow the dosage instructions carefully and not to stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
How it works
Montizek-Kid Tablet contains Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Together these two relieve sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist that works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.
Quick Tips
Never combine Montizek-Kid Tablet with other cold and flu medicines as that may have side effects. Montizek-Kid Tablet helps prevent asthma attacks. Never use it to stop an attack that has already started as it will not help. If you are giving Montizek-Kid Tablet to your child for asthma or allergy, you need not give another dose to prevent exercise-induced breathing problems. In case of any confusion, consult your child's doctor as soon as possible. Make sure that you always have enough medicine. Practice self-care tips: Abstain your child from coming in contact with allergens, encourage your child to wear a face mask and avoid dusty places, give plenty of fluids as it helps in thinning and loosening the mucus in the lungs.

Frequently asked questions
Can I combine cough and allergy medications for my child who is experiencing a persistent cough along with allergies? If so, how?
No. Do not mix cough and allergy medicines because they usually both contain similar ingredients. Mixing these medications can lead to double dosing of the active ingredients, potentially causing serious side effects. Consult your healthcare provider for guidance on appropriate treatment options.
Can I adjust the dosage of Montizek-Kid Tablet without consulting a doctor if my child shows improvement?
No. It is not safe to change the dose of Montizek-Kid Tablet without consulting your child's doctor. Any alteration in dosage, including increasing or decreasing, can lead to unintended effects and negatively impact their health.
How should I store Montizek-Kid Tablet?
Store Montizek-Kid Tablet at room temperature in a dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. Additionally, ensure that all medications are kept out of the reach and sight of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
Does Montizek-Kid Tablet cause drowsiness in my child?
Montizek-Kid Tablet can cause mild drowsiness in children. However, it should never be used to induce sleep. Forced sleep could mask any underlying sleep disorders such as insomnia.
Can I start taking Montizek-Kid Tablet before a sports event if my child is an athlete and has competition in two days?
No, do not begin Montizek-Kid Tablet without consulting your child's doctor. It can hinder your child's performance due to mild sedation, dizziness, and sleepiness. Consulting the doctor first is essential.
Should I stop taking Montizek-Kid Tablet completely by myself if necessary?
No, do not discontinue Montizek-Kid Tablet without the guidance of your child's doctor. Sudden withdrawal may cause symptoms to reappear and it is best to gradually stop using the medication under professional supervision.
Does Montizek-Kid Tablet have potential side effects like mood disorders or hallucinations?
Some studies show that Montizek-Kid Tablet can trigger mood disorders, hallucinations, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, shakiness, and difficulty controlling body movements. Consulting a doctor is crucial before administering any medication to your child.
Can I use Montizek-Kid Tablet for managing an asthma attack in my child?
Montizek-Kid Tablet should only be used as preventative therapy against asthma attacks. It is not intended for managing a sudden asthma attack that has already started. Use your child's reliever medicine to help with an ongoing attack.
