Mofilet 250 Tablet is an immunosuppressant used to prevent organ rejection after a transplant, such as kidney, heart, or liver.
Tablet
Mofilet 250 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called immunosuppressants. It is used with other medicines to prevent your body from rejecting an organ (such as a kidney, heart, or liver) after a transplant. It works by suppressing your body's immune system so that it does not attack the new organ.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mofilet 250 Tablet is to be taken with food.
Mofilet 250 Tablet is an immunosuppressant. It reduces the action of the body's own defense system (the immune system) and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ.
Your doctor has prescribed Mofilet 250 Tablet to stop your body from rejecting a transplanted organ (e.g. kidney, heart or liver). It may take 6 to 12 weeks for Mofilet 250 Tablet to start working. Keep taking it as prescribed. It may cause birth defects so birth control is required in females with reproductive potential. It makes you more susceptible to getting infections. Avoid contact with people who have an infection. Protect yourself from direct sunlight by wearing protective clothing and applying a sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (SPF).
Mofilet 250 Tablet may increase the risk of certain cancers, such as skin cancer and lymphoma (cancer of the lymph system). Protect yourself from sun exposure by using protective clothing and sunscreen. If you develop a new skin sore, bump, change in mole size or color, brown or black lesion with uneven edges, or a sore that doesn't heal, contact your doctor immediately. Also inform your doctor if you experience unexplained fever, fatigue, weight loss, or pain/swelling in the neck, groin, or armpits.
Mofilet 250 Tablet is an immunosuppressant. It helps your body accept the donor's kidney by suppressing your immune system, which fights against foreign substances and could reject the organ. This ensures the transplanted kidney becomes integrated into your body.
Mofilet 250 Tablet is neither a steroid nor chemotherapy medicine. It's an immunosuppressant that weakens your immune system to prevent rejection of the transplanted organ. Hair loss is a common side effect of Mofilet 250 Tablet.
Mofilet 250 Tablet can affect your blood count, kidneys and liver. Before starting treatment, your doctor will order a blood test. During treatment, they may suggest regular blood tests to monitor changes in blood cells and detect any side effects.
Mofilet 250 Tablet weakens your immune system, making you more susceptible to infections like chickenpox and shingles. Following this precaution is essential to avoid contracting these illnesses.
If you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, do not take Mofilet 250 Tablet. The risk of miscarriage during the first three months of pregnancy is high, and there's also a possibility of birth defects in newborns. For this reason, it's essential to use two reliable methods of contraception for four weeks before starting treatment, throughout treatment and for six weeks after discontinuing Mofilet 250 Tablet. Your doctor will recommend suitable methods.
For the duration of treatment, use reliable birth control methods (e.g., condoms, pills) and abstain from donating semen for 90 days after stopping treatment.
