Directions for Use
Complete the entire course of antibiotics without stopping the medicine in between. Doing so may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection.
How it works
Moclox Kid Tablet contains two active ingredients Amoxycillin and Cloxacillin. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. On the other hand, the presence of cloxacillin increases the efficiency of this medicine and helps in treating the infections caused by resistant bacteria. By doing so, it kills the infection-causing bacteria and prevents the infection from spreading.

Frequently asked questions
Why has my child been prescribed a combination of two antibiotics?
A combination of two antibiotics is prescribed when the doctor suspects that your child may have developed a bacterial infection caused by resistant bacteria. This combination increases the efficiency of the medicine and helps in killing the resistant bacteria.
Can I give Moclox Kid Tablet to my child repeatedly for a long time?
It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and duration of Moclox Kid Tablet. Giving your child Moclox Kid Tablet for a long term can cause fungal infections (oral thrush) in the mouth and severe gastrointestinal infections (superinfections). Do not alter the dose and duration on your own, and consult your child's doctor if you have any concerns.
Are there any possible serious side effects of Moclox Kid Tablet?
Although rare, Moclox Kid Tablet may cause some serious side effects such as persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. If your child experiences any of these symptoms, consult their doctor for guidance and support.
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Moclox Kid Tablet?
It is crucial to inform your child's doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Moclox Kid Tablet. Additionally, check with your child's doctor before giving any medicine to your child, as Moclox Kid Tablet can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances.
Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Moclox Kid Tablet?
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.
The mucus coming out of my child's nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?
In the common cold, the mucus changes its color and thickens up with time, but this does not necessarily mean that your child needs antibiotics. Common cold symptoms often last for 7-10 days. If your child's symptoms fail to clear up within this duration, consult their doctor for guidance.
Is Moclox Kid Tablet safe for children suffering from infectious mononucleosis?
No, it is not recommended to give Moclox Kid Tablet to children with infectious mononucleosis, as a high percentage of children with this condition develop a skin rash (erythematous rash) while taking Moclox Kid Tablet.
Is it safe to give Moclox Kid Tablet to children suffering from jaundice?
It is advised not to give Moclox Kid Tablet to children with jaundice, as the active ingredient cloxacillin can aggravate the symptoms of jaundice in your child. Consult your child's doctor for alternative treatment options.
