How it works
Mixbiotic-AC Ear Drop is a combination of five medicines: Lidocaine, Acetic acid, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole, and Ofloxacin which treat ear infections. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. Acetic acid is an antiseptic. Beclometasone is a steroid medicine which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the ear red, swollen, and itchy. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves.
Quick Tips
Put drops in the ear without touching the dropper to the ear. Stay on the side for 2 minutes or put a cotton plug in the ear. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas. Do not try to clean inside your ear with cotton buds. If you stick buds or other objects into your ear, they can further damage your ear. Just wipe the outside of your ear with a clean cloth or tissue if any discharge appears. Do not use the medicine for a longer time without doctor consultation. Make sure not to use the open bottle for more than 4 weeks.
