Mitocal -CCM Tablet is best taken with food. Take it in the exact dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Take it regularly to get maximum benefits from the medicine. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day. Do not take it more than or longer than prescribed as it may cause harmful effects. It is usually a safe medicine with very minimal or no side effects. However, it may cause constipation or stomach pain in some people. If you experience such symptoms that do not go away or worsen, you should let your doctor know. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor know if you are on any other medications for any other medical conditions. Mitocal -CCM Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Calcium Citrate Malate and Calcitriol. Calcium Citrate Malate is a nutritional supplement of calcium given when you do not get enough calcium from your diet. Calcitriol is the active form of Vitamin D. It raises Vitamin D levels in your blood. This in turn raises calcium levels in your blood by helping you absorb more calcium from your intestine.

Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or if you have ever had kidney stones. Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like antihypertensives, antibiotics, or medicines for heart disease or bone disorders. Inform your doctor if you are taking an iron supplement as the absorption rate might be affected. Include calcium-rich food in your diet like milk, cheese, yogurt, calcium-fortified soya milk, and green leafy vegetables like spinach.
