How it works
Mezoc-G Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin. Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).

Frequently asked questions
What is Mezoc-G Tablet?
Mezoc-G Tablet contains Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin. This medication is used to treat pain from nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy). It works by regenerating damaged nerves and reducing pain signals.
What is peripheral neuropathy?
Peripheral nerves, found in the extremities of your body like toes and fingertips, carry messages between your brain and spinal cord and your rest of the body. Damage to these nerves disrupts nerve function. These disrupted messages contribute to pain and tingling sensations. If you experience peripheral neuropathy symptoms, consult a medical professional.
Can I stop taking Mezoc-G Tablet when my pain is relieved?
No, continue taking Mezoc-G Tablet as prescribed. While your pain may decrease initially, the regeneration of damaged nerves takes time and continuing the medication ensures optimal results.
Can Mezoc-G Tablet cause sleepiness?
Yes, one of the common side effects of Mezoc-G Tablet is drowsiness. Do not operate heavy machinery or drive a vehicle while taking this medication without consulting your doctor for appropriate alternatives to ensure safe driving conditions. Do not consume alcohol while on this medication as it can lead to increased sleepiness and falls.
Can I take more than the recommended dose of Mezoc-G Tablet?
No, exceeding the recommended dose can increase the risk of side effects and toxicity. If you are experiencing worsening symptoms that are not relieved by your prescribed dose, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation of your treatment.
What is the recommended storage condition for Mezoc-G Tablet?
Keep this medication in its original container or packaging, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions on the label and ensure that it's not consumed by pets, children, or others.
