It makes you lose excess water through urine, so it is best to take it during the day or 4 hours before bedtime to avoid frequent urination at night. The dose and frequency of taking this medicine depend on the patient's condition and should be taken as advised by the doctor. It should be taken for as long as it is prescribed.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

You have been prescribed Metosartan CH 50 Tablet ER for the treatment of high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent stroke and heart attack. It may cause more frequent urination. Take it at least 4 hours before bedtime to avoid waking up to urinate. It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. It may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness, or very dry mouth. Do not stop taking Metosartan CH 50 Tablet ER suddenly without talking to your doctor.
