Methocard 10mg Tablet is an organic compound. It is used along with ultraviolet-A irradiation. It works by decreasing the number of cells the skin makes.
Take this treatment (methoxsalen and UVA) two or three times a week with the treatment spaced at least forty-eight hours apart. Always take Methocard 10mg Tablet 2 hours before UV radiation exposure along with food or milk. Take a plain shower before your treatment to keep your skin clean and pat dry. Use extra caution for at least 48 hours following each treatment. After each treatment, cover your skin for at least 8 hours by wearing protective clothing. Never take Methocard 10mg Tablet more than the prescribed dose as it may cause burning or blistering of your skin after exposure to UV light.
Methocard 10mg Tablet is indicated in conjunction with ultraviolet (UV) light (found in sunlight and specific lamps) to treat vitiligo (a skin condition causing depigmentation), psoriasis (a skin condition characterized by red, scaly patches), and photopheresis, a treatment that uses UV light to deplete white blood cells. It is also used to treat the skin manifestations of mycosis fungoides, a type of lymphoma.
Methocard 10mg Tablet alters the way in which skin cells receive ultraviolet A (UVA) radiation, thereby aiding in disease clearance.
