Chloramphenicol Orlistat
Metanuron 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems.
Metanuron 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12, which is essential for the body to produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using folate (vitamin B9).
Vitamin B12 is obtained primarily through animal-based foods such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Vegans or vegetarians may need to consider supplementation due to the lack of naturally occurring vitamin B12 in plant-based sources like fruits, vegetables, and grains. Deficiencies are therefore often seen in these groups.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become larger than normal). It can also cause nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms may include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, impaired memory, and sore mouth or tongue.
Metanuron 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, in rare cases, it may cause nausea, diarrhea, anorexia (loss of appetite), or skin rash. If you experience a rash, discontinue taking the medication immediately.
Metanuron 1500mcg Injection can be administered intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dose is one ampoule (0.5 mg of Metanuron 1500mcg Injection) administered three times a week, and after two months, one ampoule (0.5 mg of Metanuron 1500mcg Injection) is given every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
It's essential not to inject the medication at the same site repeatedly. If you experience pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different spot.
