Meslo 800mg Tablet is an anti-inflammatory medicine used to treat a type of bowel disease known as ulcerative colitis.

Meslo 800mg Tablet may also be used to treat another type of bowel disease known as Crohn’s ileocolitis. It should be taken with food. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but take it exactly as your doctor prescribes. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Meslo 800mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Meslo 800mg Tablet is an aminosalicylate. It works by suppressing the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation (swelling) in the intestines. This reduces ulceration, bleeding and stomach pain and prevents future flare-ups of the disease.
You have been prescribed Meslo 800mg Tablet for treating and lowering the symptoms of mild inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis. Your doctor may monitor your kidney and liver functions before you start treatment with this medicine and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you have severely decreased kidney or liver function. Do not take Meslo 800mg Tablet if you are allergic to aspirin or if you have blood disorders. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor. Do not take Meslo 800mg Tablet if you are allergic to aspirin or if you have blood disorders.
Continue to take Meslo 800mg Tablet as advised by the doctor, even if you feel better at the beginning of your treatment. Do not stop taking Meslo 800mg Tablet without consulting your doctor.
