Introduction

Mesazed 800 Tablet is an aminosalicylate used to treat mild inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis. It helps to reduce symptoms such as diarrhea, bleeding and stomach pain by reducing inflammation in the bowel. It may also be used to treat another type of bowel disease known as Crohn's ileocolitis. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but take it exactly as your doctor prescribes.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mesazed 800 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Mesazed 800 Tablet is an aminosalicylate. It works by suppressing the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation (swelling) in the intestines. This reduces ulceration, bleeding and stomach pain, and prevents future flare-ups of the disease.

You have been prescribed Mesazed 800 Tablet for treating and lowering the symptoms of mild inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis. Do not take Mesazed 800 Tablet if you are allergic to aspirin or if you have blood disorders. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
