Tablet PR
Mesagon Tablet PR is an aminosalicylate used to treat mild inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's ileocolitis. It should be taken with food and the dose will depend on what you are being treated for. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early, your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. The most common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, itching, flatulence, and vomiting. If these symptoms bother you, do not go away, or get worse, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them.
Use it as advised by your doctor or check the label for directions before use. Mesagon Tablet PR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Mesagon Tablet PR is an aminosalicylate that works by suppressing the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation (swelling) in the intestines. This reduces ulceration, bleeding, and stomach pain, and prevents future flare-ups of the disease.
You have been prescribed Mesagon Tablet PR for treating and lowering the symptoms of mild inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis. Your doctor may monitor your kidney and liver functions before you start treatment with this medicine and regularly thereafter. Do not take Mesagon Tablet PR if you are allergic to aspirin or if you have blood disorders. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor. Take it exactly as your doctor prescribes and keep taking it for as long as your doctor recommends.
