Meniden-I.V. Infusion is given as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional. It is generally safe to use with no common side effects. However, take caution while taking medicine if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Meniden-I.V. Infusion is a combination of two medicines: Glycerin and Mannitol which treat increased pressure in the skull/brain. Mannitol is an osmotic diuretic which draws water out of tissues in the brain and decreases swelling around the brain. Addition of Glycerin prevents the swelling from coming back which may possibly occur with plain Mannitol.

Meniden-I.V. Infusion is used for the treatment of cerebral edema (swelling in the brain). The heart rate and health of the patient should be carefully evaluated before administering Meniden-I.V. Infusion. Urinary output, fluid balance, central venous pressure, and electrolyte balance (in particular serum sodium and potassium levels) should be carefully monitored.
