Mem 0.2mg Injection is not for self-administration. It is given as an injection into the veins or muscles by the doctor at a hospital setting. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self-administer.
Mem 0.2mg Injection is an ergot alkaloid. It works by causing sustained contractions of the smooth muscles of the uterus. This results in compression of the blood vessels which controls bleeding after delivery.
Used for the prevention and control of post-delivery bleeding. May also be used for the active management of the third stage of labor to facilitate the delivery of the placenta. It is given intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into the muscle) by a doctor or healthcare provider in a hospital or clinic. Should be avoided in patients with high blood pressure and heart disease.
